Today with the emergence of the distributed fuel cell systems, business owners and real estate developers can factor-in energy independence into their strategy or even use them as back-up systems, Uninterruptable Power Systems (UPS) for security reasons and in grid connected applications. Tropical has a wide selection of products for our commercial customers, which are not only focused on power generation but also on transportation, vehicles air conditioning and truck refrigeration.
Minimizing the energy costs with minimal maintenance and being as friendly as possible on the environment is a key point to the new established worldwide markets. Using our new series of Fuel Cell Power Generators operating either with pure hydrogen (TB-5000) or by reforming hydrocarbons such as Natural Gas, LPG, Methanol and Propane (GreenGen NG-5) is a starting point. Keep in mind that you can simultaneously produce enough heat for space heating or for any other usage on your business and of course those systems can easily be scaled up to cover your needs. Scalability is an important issue since on a business expansion you just add fuel cell power generators accordingly.
By using our reformate power generation systems (supplying them with Natural Gas, LPG, Methanol and Propane) hydrogen can be produced independently and afterwards can be stored on hydrogen tanks and refill the fleet of your Fuel Cell Vehicles or even increase the storage capacity and sell either the excessive hydrogen to the market or produce excessive power and sell it. Thus, Tropical provides complete commercial solutions covering your needs for power. But even if you don’t have Natural Gas, Methanol or LPG you can still implement those hydrogen fuel cell power systems (with the aid of a water electrolyser) with your solar photovoltaic system, wind generator or any other renewable energy source having a hybrid system which will never let you down. A fully hybrid system can then provide electricity to your business, charge the batteries of your electric (or hybrid) vehicle (cars, scooters, minibuses or bicycles) or even sell directly the excess power on the grid on countries where tariff plans are available.
With the increasing costs of gas prices, electric and fuel cell vehicles are becoming increasingly an attractive alternative to gas powered vehicles. Electric cars, minibuses, carts and buggies, small trucks, scooters and bicycles can be a great form of transportation within cities as well as the country side with ranges of up to 150km per charge by using Lithium based batteries with long life cycles (more than 2.000 charges) and great durability. Despite the often apparent higher acquisition cost the significantly lower electricity cost of battery charging compared to the equivalent gas price as well as the fact that the maintenance is typical and only disc brakes need to be changed every couple of years, makes the price premium paid an investment recoupable in few months or a year depending on the vehicle usage. This is becoming an increasingly attractive solution also for companies maintaining a fleet of vehicles for their sales teams, for courier services, for local transport and authorities (police, post services, road cleaning services) and more. In short terms, the environmental footprint (CO2 reduction & noise) will be huge and of course the cost reduction will be significant.
Last but not least, Tropical has also developed its own complete product portfolio of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Systems for commercial vehicles. With its innovative inverter technology and electronic control systems, Tropical’s A/C & Refrigeration Systems offer superior performance even in countries where temperatures reach 50oC, lower engine usage, gas usage and all these advantages with reduced maintenance costs and long term warranty. The most common applications include buses of all types and sizes, trucks, vans, forklifts, tractors, special purpose vehicles, military equipment and vehicles, trains and airport shuttle buses.
Reduced operating costs, lower maintenance, environmental friendly footprint and independency … do you think something better to be on the center of publicity?
